Hi my name is Darrell Palmer and I am the owner of Power House Music. Thank you for taking the time to check out our company. We would like to welcome you to our website, enjoy and if you have any questions feel free to contact us anytime.
This company was started in January of 2008 after many of years in the entertainment business. In the early days of the 80’s and 90’s I could be found playing in band’s in the mid west. One day my father called to say he was at a car show and the DJ didn’t show. He asked how to get some equipment? I helped him out and he was the master of ceremonies, and I did what I could. My Dad, his partner, and myself started getting hired to do more and more and bigger and bigger events. That company grew into one of the largest Sound Companies in the Mid West. I had quit the band and was focusing on the company and learned alot over the years. In 1996 I married moved to Beloit WI., where it became too hard to travel the distance required several times a week, so I left the company.
A few years later I missed the entertainment business, and struggled on what to do. A friend of ours (Tim) was a DJ and he became very ill and passed away. Some of us were talking and thought we should keep his business going. His wife gave us some of his equipment and we carried on what he started. Over the years it ended up being just my wife and I and we wanted to do something on our own. That’s when we started Power House Music. We still do some of the jobs Tim did and enjoy them very much we just wanted to personalize the business.
We have learned to have a great event there are certain things you have to have. You have to have a good personality and you have to be professional. It’s not who has the equipment to blow everyone out, or who charges the most. It’s about who knows their customers needs, knows what equipment it take’s, and the professionalism to get it done. We are committed to making our customers event a success.
